Think You've Seen It All?

Georgie Gough - Think You've Seen It All?

4th APRIL 2008: Opening of  Georgie Gough's solo exhibition

"Think You’ve Seen It All?" at the Serpentine Community Gallery in North Lismore this Friday, at 6pm.

Exploring the possibilities of life through colour and form, artist Georgie Gough has become a lover of the encaustic painting technique. Amazing effects are achieved through a technique which basically involves painting with a hot iron on which beeswax crayons have been melted. It’s a medium that is texture-rich almost to the point of tactile.Think You’ve Seen It All? features many encaustic paintings as well as a series of acrylic paintings inspired by David Icke’s book Children of the Matrix and The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life series by Drunvalo Melchizedek. Georgie and the Serpentine Community Gallery invite you to the openingto enjoy the art, the wine, the nibblies and a chat with the artist.Think You’ve Seen It All? runs until April 18.

Georgie Gough demonstrates the encaustic painting technique.
