Opening of the group exhibition
REDAFFECTS
on Friday, at 5.30pm.
The 6th annual exhibition at the Serpentine Community Gallery
will showcase new works
created over the last year
in their Lismore studio.
Enjoy live performance,
fine food and
the opportunity
to purchase original artworks
including paintings, drawings,
prints and ceramics.
There will also be photographs
and multimedia installation
at the exhibition.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
Light refreshments available.
REDAFFECTS will be on view until the 24th October 2012.

'This year the ceramics group decided to create useful items for the home. These could be
something used for eating or drinking, something to wear or something to beautify.
We also focused on improving our techniques of construction,
skills in using colour and applying glazes.'

The opening celebration
An eager crowd gathers gallery front as, matching ceramic works to their labels,
Dawn Thirlaway and Heron Lee (below left) help finalize the exhibition set-up,
and the night's musicians go through their warm-up and sound check routine.
REDAFFECTS
is officially opened with speeches by
Lismore Mayor Jenny Dowell
and, representing RED Inc
Allan Ellis and Marie Gale.
Tim Thompson
Artists, family, friends and other local art lovers enjoy the show.
Artworks are much admired, including an original multimedia presentation.
