Tropical Fruits - It's a Queer Life

6TH JANUARY 2010: Having hung at the Lismore Showground for the annual Tropical Fruits New Year’s Eve party night and recovery day, the It's A Queer Life exhibition opens at the Serpentine Community Gallery, from 7pm.

Curators of this year’s exhibition, Elle-Mental celebrate the four elements

– earth, fire, water and air. So there’s the theme.

Elle-Mental, are calling for entries. Local lesbian, gay, etc artists and friends are invited to submit artwork of any medium and any size. Musicians, dancers and performance artists are also sought to join the celebration.

Tropical Fruits is again offering a first prize of $500 and two prizes of $250 each for second and third. Winners in the people’s choice awards

will be chosen by the partygoers at the exhibition.

All are welcome to come along to the opening night of
