Women of the World

Members - Women of the World

6th MARCH 2009: Opening of the Women of the World exhibition

at the Serpentine Community Gallery on Friday, at 7pm.

Women of the World is a group show

by local artists in a variety of styles

that investigates the lives of women

from around the globe.

It’s a celebration of women’s diversity,

achievements and struggles

and coincides with

International Women’s Day

(which is this Sunday).

Twenty per cent of all sales will go to ARD

(Academy of Root Development),

a community banking system

that gives out small business loans in India.

(For example, a mother might want to buy a loom or sewing machine to boost family income.

- That’s where ARD helps.)
