Artisan Flash Mob

In conjunction with our Mothers' Day Art Auction fundraiser,

on Sunday 13th May 2012, Serpentine Community Gallery members and friends,

with other enthusiastic, local artists got together for an

Artisan Flash Mob.

This creative event took place outside the Pop-Up Gallery @ 56 Magellan St Lismore

on Wednesday 9th May 2012.

Follow the "Rainbow Pathway",

created by Chang and helpers,

to the Artisan Flash Mob.

Joining in the fun, Janice Fleming, a member of the Lismore Art Club,

took the opportunity to paint a portrait. Follow this link, for

Lismore Mayor Jenny Dowell's comment on Twitter.

Our Mayor was another member of the broader community who took a moment on a beautiful,

sunny day to enjoy the energy of being part of the Artisan Flash Mob.

As artworks take shape, Lismore Mayor Jenny Dowell and artists Peter Lehner and

Corinne Batt-Rawden enjoy the sounds of musician and Indigenous Music Educator Blakboi.

Corinne and Peter push on throughout the event to finish their works.

At the opening night of the Metamorphosis exhibition on Friday 11th May 2012,

(yes...it was a very busy week at the Serpentine!),

Corinne, pictured with fellow artist Courtney Albertini and Courtney's mum Angela,

and Peter, with Sue Alford, show the works they created during the

Artisan Flash Mob.
