Members - Tattoos, Textures and Textiles

2ND NOVEMBER 2012:

Opening of the group exhibition

Tattoos, Textures and Textiles,

on Friday from 7pm.

The opening of this exhibition,

inspired by all forms of body art,

will kick off an evening

full of Serpentine-style

entertainment, starring both

visual and performance artists.

Everyone is welcome to attend the opening. There will be light refreshments and lots of time to enjoy the art, meet the artists, and get yourself in the mood to party all-night-long.

Then at 9pm,

we'll all move up the road

to the 'The Northern Rivers

Hotel's beer-garden' for

The Serpentine Masquerade Ball,

a fundraising event

and party

featuring a host of

incredible acts and performances,

lucky door prizes

and a hand full of

best-dressed prizes.

Tattoos, Textures and Textiles will be on view until the 18th of November 2012.

The Serpentine's new fire-stand

The opening celebration

The gathering of artists and art-lovers enjoy the selection of new artworks,

the good company, and the chance to shake off the working week and slip into party mode.

Serpentine's 'Master of Light Refreshments' Kane Bowman

has a little fun with one of his volunteer roles and

Gareth Lindsay Deakin's oil painting 'Ying and Yang.'

Music by DJ Nathan keeps

the party mood bubbling

Patrons at the opening sport outfits fit for a ball,

and a wonderful 'wearable' work of art

While all wrapped up in his

ceramic work, potter Ray Moller prepares to head off to the ball.

Perhaps with thoughts of afterparty beats already filling

his head, DJ Nathan checks his gear before stepping out

to enjoy The Serpentine Masquerade Ball.

... on with her mask, and gallery manager Corinne Batt-Rawden

is also ready for the next

of the night's big events.
