As I Am is a group exhibition celebrating women in all their complexity, strength, challenges, vulnerability, and diversity.
We warmly invite you to join us for opening night at the Serpentine Community Gallery, as we come together to mark the opening of this thoughtful and affirming exhibition in conjunction with International Women’s Day.
As I Am explores what it means to be a woman — embracing difference, lived experience, identity, resilience, softness, power, and everything in between. The exhibition creates space for many voices to present an exhibition offering honest reflections rather than ideals, and lived reality rather than imposed standards.
Opening night is an opportunity to gather, connect, and celebrate the artists and their works in a welcoming community setting. Come along to experience the exhibition, enjoy the atmosphere, and share in an evening that honours women exactly as they are.
All are welcome. We look forward to celebrating with you.
As I Am is on exhibition Fri 6th March to Fri 27th March
We had the honour of special guest performer Nic Palmer at the opening of As I Am. Nic Palmer is an artist working at the intersection of indie songwriting and visual art. A four-time finalist (three times Top 30) in the Australian Songwriting Awards, Nic’s passion in music is exploring melody and lyrics. She is playing a set of her original songs in a rhythmic storytelling style, plus, a few of her favourite Aussie classics.
