From the 7th December 2016
until the 24th January 2017,
the Serpentine Community Gallery
is pleased to present
"Miniatures"
- a festive season show
featuring artworks by members
with a theme of miniatures/smalls.
A Christopher Boffoli miniature
A 'Miniatures' exhibition is a great opportunity for local artists
to showcase a variety of their works,
or to create a series/group of works about a particular idea or message.
It’s also a great time of year for our Northern Rivers' creatives
to make beautiful and unique miniature gifts to share with the world.
This end of year show of small artworks
(size: 30cm x 30cm - two dimensional
or 30cm x 30cm x 30cm - three dimensional)
is open to all members.
Works are to be submitted to the gallery by the 4th of December 2016.
In the spirit of Christmas, artworks can be taken at the time of sale.
The opening celebration will take place on Friday the 9th of December 2016, from 7pm.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
The opening celebration
'Wonder if he needs a hand?', thinks artist/gallery volunteer Ken Swan (left),
as, within minutes of the exhibition's opening, he spots Serpentine committee president Guy Ingram
being mobbed by enthusiastic art-lovers rushing to buy some of our local artists' latest works.
