Not Meant to be Drawn With…

with Amoonda Nelson and Clare Twomey

Come and enjoy A Paper Trail workshop designed to open your mind and expand the parameters of art and arts materials.

You will be taken through a series of drawing techniques with materials usually not drawn with. There are no more excuses not to be an artist.

This workshop explored the use

of non-traditional mediums and techniques.

Lipstick, toothbrushes, cotton balls and buds from the bathroom;

food-colouring, satay sticks, teabags and spices from the kitchen;

soil, feathers, sticks, flowers and leaves from outside.

Candles (both lit and unlit), boot-polish, pipe-cleaners...

The participants found mediums and tools

that they liked, and got in and got dirty.

Weird and wonderful combinations came together.

The tutors learned just as much

from everyone's experiments as the group did.

Best of all, enthusiasm and fun ruled the day.
