2nd JULY 2010: Exhibition opening

from 6pm to 11pm at

Serpentine Community Gallery,

17 Bridge St, North Lismore.

The fourth annual Scarlet exhibition is on

at the Serpentine Gallery.

Scarlet,

a group exhibition by local emerging artists,

is an exploration of the Senses,

the Sensual and the Erotic.

Live Art Event!

The opening of Scarlet is traditionally a live art event

with suggestive and tantalising performances

set in an array of Scarletly clad artworks.

As well this year we will be having

interactive art making during the opening party,

which will later become a part of the exhibition.

You are invited

to attend the opening party in erotic dress.

There will be sexy food bites available

as well as wine, beer, champagne

and lots and lots of eye and mind catching art

for your enjoyment.

We recommend that you arrange for babysitters

as this exhibition and opening party

will have strong adult themes.

The Serpentine Arts Raffle

will be drawn on the night

so it will be the last opportunity

to grab some tickets.

And the winner of the Serpentine Arts Raffle is...... committee members Emma Burrows and

Corinne Batt-Rawden officiate at the draw.

With the atmosphere set by a mixture of sensual art

 and performance, the evening is one greatly enjoyed and much remembered by the opening night crowd.

Roadside it was "art under construction"

for some enthusiastic local artists including

Bek Webster and Alan Ussher.
