Local Artists - Art Auction '09 @ The Winsome

5th APRIL 2009: One day only, fundraising Art Auction '09

for the Serpentine Community Gallery

at The Winsome Hotel, Lismore, on Sunday from 3pm.

Serpentine Community Gallery

opened in November 2006.

Two-and-a-half years later, Serpentine is not just a gallery -

it helps artists towards exhibiting,

provides life drawing groups,

initiates public art projects,

promotes a stronger artist community

and is dedicated to promoting the art culture of the Northern Rivers.

Serpentine is wholly run by artists

who all volunteer their time and creative ideas.

Local artists who support the gallery -

including Julian King-Salter,

Corinne Batt-Rawden and Matt Cunningham

... to name but a few

- have donated their artworks to be auctioned.

The fundraising event will take place

in the upstairs venue of the Winsome Hotel.

And this auction afternoon will be fun!

Auctioneer for the event is S Sorrensen.

Bec Newman will perform.

There’ll be delicious food

and the bar is open for an afternoon bevy.

Local landscaper (and secretary

of the Serpentine management committee)

Rungi Tutaki has donated

four hours of gardening work to be auctioned.

Auctions are a great way to raise funds.

And you get to take home some original and local art.

Cash, card and lay-by accepted.

Entry to the auction is by donation.

an afternoon of art, music and laughter

in support of the Serpentine Community Gallery.
