GEMMA HALL
Using discarded treasure is a sustainable way for me to bring my ideas to life. The puzzle of using unique pieces urges me to try new techniques and materials. My paintings come from a desire to recreate moments where i was still in nature, and in wonder. Allowing the viewer to ponder nature's agency, what we take out and what we throw back.
SAMANTHA LIVINGSTON
I collect bits, mostly from the ground. Often they shouldn't be there and I cant leave them behind.
Broken and discarded stuff can be reimagined as something else completely. Their purpose is to decorate space and entertain the beholder. It's thrifty, the process is satisfying and the outcome unique.
CREATION SPACE
This exhibition comprised of a dedicated workshop space inside the gallery for creatives and the creative curious to enjoy. Gemma, Lisa, Sam and guests hosted daily workshops including cyanotype printing, upcycling, assemblage sculptures, acrylic painting, kids mini-makes, and more.
