Rachael Windress - RAW
1ST DECEMBER 2012: Opening of Fine Art photographer
Rachael Windress's solo exhibition
RAW
on Saturday, at 6pm.
Rachael Windress
presents an exhibition you will not forget,
bringing back the traditional techniques
of photography through the digital age,
using the power of the camera
to create these dynamic images
rather than relying on postproduction
tools such as PhotoShop.
'This body of work is based on creating
abstract images from within the camera.
Working with different objects, people, animals,
lighting and long exposure, allows me to create
the image using the technology of the camera
rather than manipulating the illusion in Photoshop.
With elements of intrigue and surprise,
these dynamic images contain unusual view points
which challenge the viewer. I like to challenge the
viewer and intrigue them as they spend more time
looking and questioning what the photo is,
with the intent that the viewer will interpret
any images from their own life’s experiences.'
