Small Basket and Jewellery Weaving Facilitators Vanessa Morris and Martina Driftwood, GreenWing EarthCraft
This is a fun little 4 hour workshop for anyone who would like to dip their toes into basketweaving with natural , local fibres and either create a little basket or make some nice jewellery to take home. Anyone who knows how to weave and wants to branch out and do some fun earrings or pendants is welcome too. It will be a small intimate workshop amongst an inspiring weaving exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery and it will be capped at 15 people. Date: 22nd Feb Time: 10:00- 2:00 Cost: $50

Mini Workshop- Looped Found Object

Due to multiple requests I am running this workshop again.
Learn the basketry technique of looping. During this fun two hour workshop you will dress, by looping a found object. Bring your own special rock, pebble, twig, shell or what ever tickles your fancy to loop on, around. I will have some extra found objects to choose from if you don't have your own. We will use naturally dyed cotton thread, in a variety of colours, for the looping.

Cobbling

Learn the basketry technique of cobbling to create a unique bowl or dish. Cobbling is a great technique for repurposing small and often unused fibres. We will use naturally dyed raffia and thread remnants.
