Emma's 'Spooky Lady' was the last work to come under the auctioneer's hammer and a bidding war commenced.
As S's finger flashed from side to side of the room, all eyes followed and the bids came
fast and furious - the perfect energy with which to end this community gallery fundraising event.

Creative Exchange @ Lismore Show
October 2010
Having developed the concept and organised the Serpentine space at the show,
and gathered and sorted all sorts of creative materials, Emma Burrows kept the cuppas
coming, the workspace stocked and tidy as well as running experimental workshops.
Hand-made books combining mixed media and machine stitching were the result of one.

Enjoy A Paper Trail workshop where you can learn how to create a Photographic Digital transfer collage on Hahnemuhle paper. Explore how a variety of mixed media techniques from drawing, painting, printing, machine stitch on paper, photography, collage and automatic writing can create an engaging self-portrait.
Participants are asked to bring images, photos, drawings and other objects of inspiration.

Emma Burrows and friends - Tamara Elkins, Kat Food, Bec Newman, Nina Kourea, Louie Page and James Smythe - presented
at the Serpentine Community Gallery
between 13th and 23rd August, 2010.
This mega, interactive, installation
exhibition featured the
Worn Art Fashion Show
on Friday 20th August at 7pm.
Fibre 'Mask'
'Living Art', an Emma sculpture and 'Worn Art' from CYOA.
More fun was to be had gallery front:
  street-side chalk drawing to music.
Having a space to make their
own art proved a CYOA hit with the kids.
Bec Newman and Emma Burrows

Performances by Tamara Elkins (top left)
