Artist's Statement
'Flush'
These works are a contemporary document of
photos taken in a public toilet,
a place that we have all,
at some time, needed to visit.
In these works I have used different forms of medium
including texta, pen, ink and collages.
With a veneer of resin,
reminiscent of water on the toilet floor.
I am interested in finding beauty,
everywhere and in the everyday,
including places some people may find
offensive and somehow sordid.
So you are welcome to touch and smell if you wish
but as you can observe I have framed the pieces
in Caution and Danger,
just to be safe....
