The artist requested David Spiteri

sit for a portrait

after seeing David selling poppies

on Anzac day in 2009.

David has had a checkered career

but is one of those individuals

 who does many good things

for the community

often unnoticed.

at the Salon des Refuses exhibition

held from the 29th April until 3rd June 2011.
